Overall Opinion:
I have always had love-hate relationship with Leslie North novels. Sometimes she's able to hit the mark while others… Let's just say they don't interest me enough to continue reading the story. Obviously she must be doing something right to gain a lot of fans yet her stories just don't reach out to me. During my “The Rancher's Baby Bargain” read I found myself putting off the read too many times to count and I just didn't feel any connection to the story nor we're the characters likable enough. The overall ugly duckling turn swan has always be a fan favorite of mine and the ideal of friends turned lovers prompt pulled me in but unfortunately nothing captivate me enough to stay. As much as I appreciate the ARC, ultimately this series landed in my dropped graveyard.

When his sister left her baby to his care, the hero became so overwhelmed that he knew he needed help. And when the doorbell rang, he opens the door and the heroine noticed it. The two came up with a deal with the heroine becoming a temporary nanny while the hero helps her with her assignment. Throughout the deal, the two end up becoming closer amidst personal conflicts, familial issues, and other obstacles.

I enjoyed reading this book. The characters were well-rounded and the couple were definitely the main characters in the book, though the adoration the couple have for the baby was simply adorable. There were some secondary characters that made the story better while a few could have been left out. A few actions that the hero made annoyed me but at least there were resolutions to them. Overall an enjoyable book by a new-to-me author that I definitely will read more of her books in the future.

Lucy was the class nerd. She's a genius when it comes to the technical stuff, but hands on has never been her strong suit. Aiden knows how to do the work, but is not so good at looking at the big picture. When life throws the genius and the jock a curve ball, everything changes. It turns out they need each other more than they ever could have known. The Rancher's Baby Bargain is proof that a book cannot be judged by it's cover. Aiden and Lucy are the best of both worlds.
