A very chatty and casual reference book good for the novice practitioner. I think the idea of getting ingredients from the supermarket is not a new one but it may be something that the novice practitioner might not have thought of.
The early chapters cover basic spell casting and ethics, which is a good addition to any book like this. The creations are basic--to the degree of recommending chamomile tea with honey as a brew to cause peace. If you're familiar with kitchen witchery or old wives' tales, you won't find much new here.

This has some great ideas but I expected it to have more recipes than it did. It was a quick read and I will keep it for reference.
Truly wasn't what I was excepting, but is solid starter for beginner witches or those that just want to have a quick handy kitchen grimoire. The suggestions and spell items are things that are all found in the grocery store and mostly things that you can use in other cooking areas so while a few items would be expensive it would pay out in the end both magickal and cooking.

The author touched on recipes for astrological and planetary, zodiac sign, cleansing, banishing, etc. There wasn’t anything particularly unique or life changing with this reference novel. It seemed pretty generic and it featured many things I had already known. This would be more ideal for a beginner who wants to learn the general concept about brews, potion (and their differences) and easy to follow recipes.
