This review was written for LibraryThing Early Reviewers.I started this book first and had to go back to Cursed by Fairies to get a full introduction to the characters. The story was intricate and interesting. We take sunlight for granted, but if robbed of the sight, what would we do to bask in the glow? Anything? Everything? Priscilla is interesting in the forthright way she wields power. I only wish the narrative descriptions produced more imagery. It felt as if things were skipped over for the sake of conversation. More show than tell? Otherwise, this was a very good and cozy read.… (mere)
This review was written for LibraryThing Early Reviewers.Not exactly what I expected from this book but still a good read. I was expecting much more mythology and less of a vampire romance. The story line was easy to follow and had great plot, leaving plenty of room for sequels. The writing was good, and the action scenes were great. Plenty of varying imagery, word usage, and sentence structure was used. I really wanted more myth of the furies, vikings and gods but still overall a good read.
