Didn't much like this mystery. The plot was too jumbled and messy. Seems like the ghostwriter just threw a lot of suspects out there to toy with us. Plus, the revelation of who/what the "four brothers" is was spoiled in the synopsis in the back of the book jacket. Not cool.

When the Hardy Boys eagerly agree to assist their friend Jack Dodd and his father in locating a family treasure, the two young detectives are unaware of the baffling complications that will arise. Deadly road traps, aerial ambush, a spider man and a suspect who carries a menacing cane harass the young detectives as they seek the triple solution to this perplexing and exciting mystery.

A solid read. Chet has a new job as a Freddy Frost ice cream truck driver. But trouble begins when he is temporarily kidnapped on his first day on the job. The culprits could be a new gang in Bayport High called The Starz. Frank and Joe, as well as Iola, Callie and Chet are put to the test trying to uncover the nefarious plot behind the kidnapping.

A highly enjoyable read. Frank, Joe, Chet and Iola are on the set of an up and coming sci-fi television show named Warp Space. Iola won a contest for the show, the reward being she gets to have a small part in Warp Space. Then one of the main stars gets hurt and Chet fills in as a replacement in the role of Sirius the Slayer. But sabotage is afoot. Someone on set is trying to ruin the show and get it cancelled! It's up to Frank and Joe to solve the mystery and save Warp Space.

This was a mediocre HB story. Not too much mystery as Frank and Joe spend most of their time with a group of other teens working on restoring a structure in the south of France. There is a small mystery of buried treasure in a castle next door. But not much happens toward solving it. Random dumb luck provides the answer to the missing loot. And despite all the suspects that could be involved I figured out who the real culprit was fairly early. On a brighter note, anyone reading this mystery who has a cultural French background will enjoy the phrases, settings and landmarks that pop up throughout the book.½
