I’m being a bit generous and rounding my rating up a bit. This is probably more like a 2.75ish read, for me. This is basically a Pretty Woman fantasy story, and that’s fun but I didn’t really like the character of Victoria all that much, and I never got much out of the relationship between them beyond lust. This is obviously not trying to be in the realm of realism, but Victoria going to what felt like a 180 in the end wrt, (kinda spoilers) patronage, felt a bit odd. It was fine though, the writing style wasn’t really for me and felt a little clunky in places but it was kind of a quick mildly entertaining read.

i am finishing the rest of the series but i am not totally in love with the female character -- she tends to whine quite a bit.

but still going on with it!

enjoyed this book more than the first and definitely more than the last book!

A great contemporary FFF romance.

The plot is fast paced & has twists & turns to keep the reader involved. This book has everything - intense chemistry, hot sex, jealous coworkers & unexpected twists.

This is fascinating read! From beginning to the end it had me transfixed so that I finished it in two sittings. You have a bad girl for your heroine who is from the East Coast and trapped in Portland, Oregon. The you got a good guy for your hero who is an Agent. Damaged Goods has become a favorite because I love seeing the girl as the one who needs fixed instead of the guy. This book was a great read and I really suggest to anyone likes a story that can make you forget anything else! This is my first read by Cynthia Dane and I’m sure it won’t be the last!

Monica & Henry Part Two - Monica is ready to accept Henry & the Dom/Sub relationship. However Jackson is still around tormenting Monica into nightmares of his abuse & possessive ways. Monica seems to be falling for Henry but there is still a lot we don't know about Henry. He seems to dislike Henry but how is it he seems to pop up places they are at. Does Henry know Jackson? Is he really falling for Monica? Is he working with Jackson?

Cynthia is masterful in her cliffhangers! She gives us enough of a taste to make us want more! Can't wait for the next installment!!

What was the secret Henry was keeping from her? We find the answers to these questions in this section. Henry & Monica's relationship begins as a courtship, then a dom/sub relationship. Henry & Monica's relationship shows love triumps over evil again. Henry's secret wasn't bad enough that Monica couldn't forgive it. They work together to break the hold Jackson Lyle had on both of them and to humiliate him in the process. Healed shows the relationship overcoming distrust and getting stronger, with a lot of steamy sex scenes along the way! And that an abused woman can learn to trust again with the right partner. I loved the complex characters and that we learn more about them as we read along, just like they continue to grow with us. The relationships are instense & complicated.

Pursued: This book introduces us to Monica & Henry. We learn about Monica's past abusive Dom/sub relationship & a little about her life since its end. As Monica & Henry's relationship starts, we learn through flashbacks/memories a little more about her relationship with Jackson.

Caught: Monica is really beginning to accept Henry as her Dom & let him into her life. She's beginning to move on but Jackson is still out there tormenting her. You want to believe Henry will protect her but he doesn't seem as tough & masculine as Jackson. The sex scenes are tastefully done & you really feel Monica is falling for Henry. There are several twists in the story that you don't see coming & Cynthia is a master at cliffhangers!

Healed: Why was Jackson Lyle at Henry's house? Was Henry going to hurt Monica like Jackson did? What was the secret Henry was keeping from her? We find the answers to these questions in this section. Wow! Hot! Katie & Ian had a relationship years ago. They are up for the same project and they make a bet that the loser has to submit to the other for an entire evening. This is a story of two strong willed people trying to find a way to make their personalities & tastes mesh together so that they can have a relationship. Neither one wants to give and it's quite a journey. Cynthia creates very complex characters and with her descriptive style, the scenes are very realistic. You really could believe in their passion. You find yourself rooting for them to find a way to stay together.

Can't wait for the next part!

Ian and Katheryn are both dominants and are very attracted to each other. Each chapter is from the other character and is told in first person. Ian and Kathryn's relationship started as a one night fling but has grown as the relationship has grown. One of Ian's past lovers finds them in a compromising position and begins to blackmail Katheryn. She hates to pay but she could lose so much more. Soon she begins to feel she is giving up too much and Ian is giving up nothing. She misses the Domme part of herself but can't see Ian ever submitting. Can they find a way to stay together? If they come out in public as a couple, will Katheryn lose everything she has been fighting for?

I love Ian & Kathryn! They go to Vegas for work, celebrate too much & tie one on. When they awake the next morning, the night before was a haze. As they slowly piece things together, they look at each other in horror. They got married! Kathryn has a phobia about marriage & freaks out. Will they stay married? Stay a couple?

Cynthia has done a great job on these characters! Ian & Kathryn have flaws & hang ups just like the rest of us. I've enjoyed the other books about them but I think this one is my favorite! You still have the hot, steamy sex scenes but there is also a light-hearted line going through this one. At times, I actually found myself laughing at Kathryn & her reactions. At the same time, I felt for Ian. You could sense his character walking a fine line between supporting Kathryn & her marriage hang ups & being hurt over her insistence that she couldn't be married to him. I can't wait to see what Cynthia has in store for them next!

Cynthia Dane is a master at cliffhangers. Jasmine was the assistant to Ethan until they became involved. She is very insecure in their relationship because of the way it began and Ethan's good looks. Ethan seems to be totally involved in his work situation since he lost his partner and is oblivious to Jasmine's insecurities. Since she is to be the Maid of Honor at Monica's wedding, she is to throw a bridal shower for her. The women that she has to invite all seem to enforce those insecurities. Ethan is working long hours and not spending time at home since he forced his business partner out. He goes looking for a new partner and ends up with someone you won't expect. Will Ethan & Jasmine's relationship survive? What's next?

There are several unexpected twists in this BDSM story. They all lead up to a tremendous cliffhanger! Cynthia's characters are sympathetic and realistic. You find yourself understanding how insecure Jasmine is and what she is feeling. The main characters in the story are people we've met in previous stories & enjoy hearing what they are up to.

This is Part Two & flows seamlessly from Part One. Jasmine is still insecure around the wealthy people she has to entertain. She is also insecure about Ethan & his proposal. Does he really want to marry her or does he feel roped into it? Adrienne seems to be up to something & you don't feel you can trust her. And two months early, a hippie van careening down the drive, who arrives to make things more interesting??

Will Jasmine & Ethan make it to the wedding? Will Ethan's plan to help Jasmine feel better work? Can Ethan deal with Jasmine's parents? What is Adrienne up to? Has she accepted Ethan is not hers? Can't wait for Part Three!

Loved this series. I ended up liking Adrienne, which wasn't possible in the beginning. The plot twists & turns continued to keep you involved in the story and wondering what would happen. The characters from her other stories were intertwined into the story but not in such a way that you needed to have read all of her books to understand. I laughed at the embarrassment her parents were causing through out. Let's face it, we all have relatives that are off the wall! The book runs you through all emotions and the sex scenes are spicy but not offensive. I feel you do need to read the first 2 books in the series to completely understand all that is happening in this book.

Judith's story has interested readers since the first book. She is second in charge at Le Chateau. She has recently lost her patron & is looking to replace him. The main plot revolves around this journey. Cynthia manages to update us on several of the characters we have met in previous stories.

Cynthia leads us on a journey with Judith & the two men she is considering as her patron. All three characters are very complex & call to different emotions & strengths with in each other. She engages our emotions in a way that leads us to feel Judith's emotions through out. She sets a scene so masterfully & do descriptive that you can picture yourself there, in the room, in the conversations, embraces & paintings. Loved it!

Wow! This is Book 1 of 4 & is it ever hot & intense. This book details the initial meeting of Logan & Daphne. They are on a double date but are not paired with each other. Logan seems to do everything he can to get a reaction from Daphne but it all goes wrong. She wants nothing to do with him so he gets more outrageous to get a reaction. Daphne is fighting the attraction while Logan can think only of her.

This book has a plot that moves quickly. It grabs your attention fight from the start & holds it throughout. I was NOT ready for it to end. There are mentions of characters from Cynthia Dane's other series & you can sense her style in the writing. The writers give us glimpses of the Logan & Daphne's personalities but it's just enough to tempt you to read the next installment. Can't wait!!

After their strange adventure in Vegas, Ian & Katherine are off to Paris for their romantic vacation. Ian just has to get one meeting out of the way. They are thrown into another emotional whirlwind after run ins with a Dom Katherine has had relations with, her ex-sub partner & Katherine's mother. Will their relationship survive?

Cynthia is making her characters delve into unfamiliar territory with this one. We've been introduced to the characters before but she is adding even more complexity & depth into them with this one. Ian has to re-examine what he thinks he knows about Katherine & she has to decide what he means to her. The plot is fast moving but with some unexpected twists, one I NEVER saw coming! Loved it!

Wow. The chemistry between Logan & Daphne is intense & HOT! It makes suave, charming Logan unsure. It causes Daphne to fight against the sensations, give in & then regret it. They both manage to forget themselves. What a cliffhanger!! The authors manage a collaboration that sounds like 1 person has written the entire thing. They never miss a step. Great section. Can't wait for part 3.

The authors seem to have the cliffhangers down to a science! I can't wait for part 4. The chemistry between Logan & Daphne is intense & you know they belong together!

The stories are fun and very sexy, there is a little something for everyone. The stories are fast paced and the chemistry is so hot! Loved it!
