I managed to get through the whole book, and enjoyed most of it. I think this would be a wonderful book for a mother who struggled through breastfeeding and emerged on the other side victorious. It would, however suck, for those who gave up or are in the middle of any breastfeeding torment. It does not provide much hope, only an example of perseverance and victory over a miserable, horrible breastfeeding year. I would only recommend it to someone who is wholly committed to breastfeeding as a lifeline from someone who has been there. I found her experience to be valuable, in that it is realistic, but to the point of terrifying for a new mom. Which is why I would be careful who you recommend it to.… (mere)
