It is a truly nostalgic book for an adult, flooding the reader's mind with childhood memories as they turn to each new page. Also, young readers can often relate to and will share stories making connections to the text. Great book to help young authors find memories to write about.

what wonderful things one can do with different types of rocks! Beautifully written along with marvelous illustrations makes for a highly recommended book for the littles!

This was a very calming, relaxing book to read and I think it would be good to read to children who like to be outside. I actually learned about a couple of rocks that I didn't know about before reading this. This book places a lot of sentimental value in such a basic item in nature and by the end I felt very strongly about certain rocks that I've found.
