She has also been the director of the New School for Social Research Library, the Huntington (NY) Public Library, and the Bethlehem (NY) Public Library. She has been active in the American Library Association, the New Jersey Library Association, and the New York Library Association.

This is a textbook, so it's going to be a bit dry, but it does its job. If you need to know more, then I'd advise looking into scholarly journals on reference work.
