Another positive surprise in such a short time. My recent library visit proved successful! While I don't quite need this much physical advances in my historical romance (I do prefer the mental approach in contemporary as well), this was really good. And historically better than most I've read lately. It still does feel like a contemporary read, but not because people were doing super anachronistic stuff. And the sexy parts were more permissible, since we weren't talking about virginal maidens in any case. Definitely looking into more books by Isobel Carr.… (mere)
