This book is eye opening for non Muslim readers like myself. The author interviews numerous Muslim women in Muslim majority countries and other countries who are passionate both about their faith and their commitment to gender equity. These individuals believe that Islam's central tenets support justice and women's rights; rather than completely rejecting their religion or submitting to society's skewed views about Muslim women, they instead fight and work for equality and respect. Recommended for all readers.
