In which a double marriage ceremony, and indeed the coven as a whole, is thrust into bewilderment and anguish when the two benedicts are abducted by Greece's famed enchantress Circe and placed in captivity for her evaluation as potential mates. The coven springs into action to enable their return, but the two brides, including essential leader Phoebe, are necessarily sidelined owing to their grief. As always, the reader is drawn into caring about the principals and in the end the story becomes a pageturner as the witches must prepare to do battle with one of their own.… (mere)
This volume is a suitable ending for the series. It happens many, many millennia after the sun goes supernova. Phoebe and Galaxzis, tired of immortality, are looking for some way to die.The way lies only through fighting Death again...and losing. Since they are required to give it their all and not throw the fight, this seems impossible. The way through might be provided by a mysterious opponent known only as the sun witch.
In this volume, Phoebe begins receiving gifts from her number one foe...gifts of love. Meanwhile, a friend needs help and someone is trying to cut down her forests. The mission takes her back to Olympus,. where she must face down one of her greatest fears. At least this time, she has friends and family with her.
This entry in the author's Leafy Tom series follows the young witches off to Witch University, and as they confront the treacherous end of the schoolyear, their dormitory is beset by a succession of attacks by chimeras, and it soon enough transpires that the building has had a chimera generator installed; it seems that someone's got it in for them. But who? Surely not the school administration...
