MARRYING MISCHIEF af Lyn Stone
Sweet book. No meanness between the main characters as in some historicals, just several misunderstandings. I feel like there was something missing, though, like maybe there wasn't much of a plot... I can't really put my finger on it, but I just know it wasn't the best story I've ever read. If you already have it, I'd say read it, but don't go through any trouble to get a copy if you don't already have one.
FBI Agent Vanessa Walker is hunting a man who she put away before, then he killed her cousin now he seems to have bigger plans. Special Ops agent Clay Senate is pairing with her to investigate, and possibly to recruit her, but there's a strong attraction between them. They're both half-native american but she grew up with that heritage while his father discouraged him. Now they're working together to solve a murder mystery and to stop a man hell-bent on destruction.

Lots of promise, but doesn't work in the end. The plot is good, the characters interesting but it just doesn't come together. The author compares this book to a fairytale but those stories are a lot shorter. The underlying plot is a Double Beast plot, both transformed from beasts to beauties.
