One of the ten greatest books written on poker, this must-have book should be in every player's library.  If you're serious about winning, you'll realize that most of the profit comes from being able to read your opponents.  Caro reveals the secrets of interpreting tells - physical reactions that reveal information about a player's cards - such as shrugs, sighs, shaky hands, eye contact, and many more.  Learn when opponents are bluffing, when they aren't and why - based solely on their mannerisms.  Over 170 photos of players in action and play-by-play examples show the actual tells.  These powerful ideas will give you the decisive edge.  320 pages… (mere)

The old (pre-2000) edition of this book is preferable (the post-2000 edition has much darker pictures, which are MUCH harder to read). This is the classic work on poker tells; it's still required reading, although Caro doesn't explain WHY the tells work all the time (aside from "strong=weak," and "weak=strong"). The "tell value" counts are almost useless, as the game conditions have changed, and many of the tells are unique to games that are rarely played (like draw). ( )

This guy is insane. I've read this book at least twice but I think so many other people have also read it that they've learned to cover their most obvious weak spots. Oh well. Good against newbies. ( )

Great information to have when you're sitting at the table. You learn all the basic tells and the percent likelihood that the tell is accurate. Blend that info with everything else you know about the hand and the player and you're likely to make more correct decisions - and that's what it's all about in the long run, correct decisions. Also learn not to give the same tells to everyone else at the table who I'm sure have read the same book... Plus, Caro's a nut and a crack up, which makes it entertaining. ( )

Mike Caro - akit legendásan a "Póker Őrült Zsenijeként" tartanak számon - éveken keresztül tisztázta és forradalmasította a szerencsejátékkal kapcsolatban valaha papírra vetett legfontosabb gondolatok egy részét.
