Studies French-Jewish relations from the emancipation to the present. Regarding antisemitism, discusses the Mortara Affair, the Dreyfus Affair and the writings of Drumont, the Nazi occupation and the Vichy laws, the case of Jean-Paul Sartre (his actions during the war and his subsequent publication of "Re flexions sur la question juive"), the activities of Robert Faurisson and the debate concerning Holocaust denial, the repercussions of the Six-Day War (1967) in regard to attitudes toward Israel, and the complexity of the situation since 2000, with antisemitism again on the rise.
