I enjoyed reading this book, mostly because I have always wanted a cat. In my opinion, two of the main ideas are being grateful and not judging by outer appearances. The first reason I enjoyed this story is because of its setup. No matter where you open the book to, the left page is white with black, big letter writing, and the right is an image that expresses the context. It is very consistent and helpful for readers. Another reason I liked this story is because of how the main character, Holly, developed. At first she was upset that Tom wasn't what she wanted, but she grew to like him and took care of him when he needed help. Seeing that change in character is what helps to develop a great story. ( ) Age Appropriateness: Primary Genre: Fantasy Media: Watercolor Review: This is the story of a young girl who wishes she had a cat for a pet. One night she wishes on a falling star and poof there is her “wish come true cat”. The only problem was that this cat was not the cute and cuddly cat she was hoping for, it was scruffy and raggedy with a crooked smile. At first she did not want this cat, but as time went on, she began to love this cat despite his looks. This boo is a good example of fantasy because the cat in this story talks and meows, acting as a human and an animal. This book also shows that it is fantasy because animals do not natural come falling from the sky when we wish on a star. ingen anmeldelser | tilføj en anmeldelse
