More with Tori and Sam (as well as some others). It starts with a shocking murder yet again. A priest is killed and found naked and strangled. Tori and Sam get the case and it seems like their trying to solve it while in quick sand. And one of the questions that comes about through the book is, will they, and the police in general, be allowed to solve the case at all.

We also meet two new characters. There's Marissa, a PR problem solver from Boston who comes in to do media damage control. And Casey, an SVU detective that gets pulled into the case too.

The awesomely written characters aside, it was an interesting mystery as well. And it got more and more complicated (as well as the cover up getting more and more twisty) as the novel went on.

It was a good novel and I enjoyed it quite a bit, and look forward to the next book, Partners. ( )

I read ‘Hunter’s Way’ earlier this year – it was loaned to me as I needed a book with a Lesbian character. I was so blown away with the story that I immediately bought the next two in the series. IN THE NAME OF THE FATHER did not let me down at all. There was more emphasis on the murder investigation than the romance side of things – but still enough of the personal lives of the main characters to keep me happy. I know many people like their mysteries to be devoid of the investigators lives but I am very much a social bunny so enjoy that aspect as well. The characters were all very believable and the story was entertaining as well as challenging the old gray matter. The plot was very plausible and I am certain these sorts of cover-ups are happening all over the world. I had an inkling of who had dunnit about ¾ of the way through, and was proved right. However, what made the story for me was the twist at the end, it was fantastic and I did NOT see that coming! It was a perfect solution!!!
