The more I read Joanna Lowell's books, the more I like them... It was nice to see nods to characters from her other books, but you didn't need to have read those books to follow the story of this one. I truly enjoyed both main characters and their individual struggles (although I would like to know if Alan's leg pain from his old injury is psychosomatic. I'm still a bit confused on that aspect. And it must be said: how many books do you read that involve a pet marmoset? Not many! ( )
