Caleb & Lexi have had each other’s back for a long time. Caleb is a single, hot firefighter single handedly raising his niece after her parents were killed in an accident. Lexi is a sexy, young single mother raising her son after the father “poofed”. They are members of a single parent group & have worked out an arrangement for watching each other’s kids. Now, they both want the relationship to change & deepen but they each have concerns.

I really enjoy the fact that they don’t seem to realize they already have a solid relationship going. The hold up is acting on their attraction & adding sexy to the mix. It was entertaining seeing Caleb realize some of his conclusions & interpretations of Lexi & her actions were wrong & his attempts at deals big with the new her. Lexi was stronger than I thought she was & able to put it all on the line. I really loved that their concern & love for Shay overpowered any awkwardness. Another great book! ( )
