This was amazing!! Mauro was such a hottie, the sweetest at times, and the ultimate-book boyfriend. He started off being a jerk to the heroine Madison on their date but soon after he realizes how much he messed up. They both go to buy the house being auctioned off and end up partners on the flip, this leads them to getting to know each other more and trying to fight their attraction. Poor Maddie has had a crush on him since high school, she was the nerd he was the jock so she has some left over insecurities from that. I really loved the family ties Mauro had especially with his brothers and I can’t wait for their stories but I also loved how he and Maddie came together and spent time getting to know each other. I highly recommend because it’s such a sweet romance with some really steamy moments in there. ( )

Nach vielen Thrillern und historischen Romanen durfte es mal wieder eine Liebesgeschichte sein. „Flirting with Fire“ hat mich nicht enttäuscht.
Maddie hat immer schon für Mauro geschwärmt. Nachdem sie sich von ihren Freundinnen dazu hat überreden lassen, zum Ehemaligentreffen zu gehen, gewinnt sie bei der Bachelor-Versteigerung auch noch ein Date mit ihrem Schwarm. Das haben ihre Freundinnen auch eingefädelt. Maddie hält davon gar nichts, doch die Freundinnen lassen nicht locker und so lässt sie sich darauf ein, einen Abend mit dem gutaussehenden Feuerwehrmann Mauro zu verbringen. Aber es läuft nicht so, wie sie sich das vorgestellt haben. Doch schon bald sehen sie sich zufällig wieder und werden auch noch zu Geschäftspartnern.
Dies ist der erste Band einer Trilogie von dem Autorenduo Piper Rayne.
Das Buch ist schön locker geschrieben und liest sich in einem weg. Durch den Perspektivwechsel lernt man die sympathischen Protagonisten gut kennen. Maddie fehlt immer noch ein Stück Selbstbewusstsein, so dass sie auch Angst vor Beziehungen hat. Die Frauen sind zwar hinter Mauro her, aber er hat besondere Vorstellungen von einer Partnerin. Aber auch die anderen Charaktere sind gut dargestellt.
Auch wenn die Geschichte vorhersehbar war, so ist sie durchaus unterhaltsam.
Bin gespannt auf die nächsten Bände der Reihe. ( )

Rcvd an ARC at no cost to author.. I loved these brothers!. I had forgotten how much I enjoy Piper's books but boy did she remind me. These group of friends were awesome, Laura and Vanessa and Madison were great. So this is Madison story and the crush that she had on Mauro since high school. Madison did not have a lot of self esteem, she still felt like the chubby nerd from high school but according to everyone else she was gorgeous, but what made her so was how nice and considerate she was. Mauro falls for her and falls hard and I liked him but he needed to be knocked upside the head when it came to Cailin, it was obvious to everyone else that she wanted him except for him. So we had some drama because of it, however it was cleared up and I was happy that she realized she was wrong..Anyhoo loved and can't wait til next one..Enjoy! ( )
