It was time for another quick read, and that meant a trip to the Hardy Boys shelf. Next up for me was this gem. These boys were not mere mortals. They head south to help save a newspaper embroiled in a lawsuit, involving a family feud over some possible buried treasure. They, in no time flat, have loaded into their car and start their adventure.....which involves camping on the beach....for three ....cooking their own food on the beach.....underwater diving equipment.....underwater lighting.....and many other things.....I mean wow.....how did they know to bring it???? Because they are the Hardy Boys, silly!!! ( )

Frank and Joe Hardy has solved lots of mysteries before. One day, Bart Worth, an editor from Larchmont, asked the Hardy boys to help him in a mix up. The Hardies and Chet drive down to Larchmont. The Hardies get more and more involved in the mystery, and finally, they are eager to solve the mystery between the Blackstone family and the Rand family. But the Hardies not have a smooth way. They get attached by the monster in the pond, a group of men are working to get rid of the Hardies. But nothing can get in the way of the Hardies... ( )

I did not hate this book nor love this book. There were some editing quirks that did not help telll the story. I think that this was one of the titles that was trying to stretch the series in a different direction but still working out the kinks. ( )
