Strategies/uses:
-At the end of the book, a "solar system in a grocery bag" activity is explained... This would be a great
way to help students visualize proportions of the solar system.
-There is also a graph with various numerical figures about each planet/dwarf planet, including sun
position, diameter, density, temperature etc.. Students could discuss the benefits of including figures like
this in informational texts.
-Let's say students are researching planets. How could they use a table of contents to quickly find
information about a specific planet?
