I have a soft spot for heroes that need to overcome some kind of affliction, and this one fit the bill. I found the timeline of the three novels interesting also. The events of all three overlap and provide context for each other. I haven't read the third one yet though. ( ) ARC Review: The Untouchable Earl by Amy Sandas The Untouchable Earl knocked me off my feet. Amy Sandas has adventure in her soul and compassion in her heart. Having read the synopsis, I couldn't imagine how the author could pull it off. A man sensitive to touch. Living in fear of the most simple of feelings but yearning for love and companionship. What I take for granted every day was a constant source of emotion turmoil. Heartbreaking. The irony was the part of himself that made him feel at his weakest, ultimately proved to be his greatest strength. It gave him a better understanding and empathy for others. It also lead him to his greatest desire. The Untouchable Earl ended being one of the purest stories of love and hope, I have ever read. I would recommend anyone facing personal struggles in their life read it and gain courage. Link to full review below! I enjoyed it but not as much as book 1. See full review on The Book Disciple I have to say that I see a pattern developing with this authors heroes and heroines. She cleverly gives them a unique character trait and incorporates it within the story and in this case, the hero has a problem with people touching his person. I like that they all have something we rarely read about in romancelandia. Another unique thing about this series is the timeline. Both books run the same timeline, and because of it, you’re better off reading them in order. Also, the unconventional relationship that develops between the two leads is intriguing and entertaining, albeit unbelievable. It took a lot out of me to suspend my disbelief in order to thoroughly enjoy the story, which I did. In the end, good writing and likable characters is what I appreciated in this story the most. The healing of Avenell is a slow unfurling dance of heightened emotions and distraught advances. Lily comes into her own. Sometimes a little too tortured, this was nevertheless an interesting addition to the Fallen Chadwick Ladies milieu. A NetGalley ARC ingen anmeldelser | tilføj en anmeldelse
