This is an author to watch. She uses humor. She takes a story that could come across as ridiculous and makes it cute and funny. Raffy a woman is very superstitious has been given investigative assignment to research the most common superstitions. Are her phobias real or all in her head? Will she stumble upon love along the way? Adorable read. ( )

Imagine sassy Italian-Australian newspaper reporter Raffy Fortuna who is assigned to spend a week trying out and debunking every day superstitions. To make matters worse, she must work with videographer Tass Bence, whose drink she spilled all over herself when she bumped into him. In addition, Raffy comes from a very superstitious Italian family and has had a very bad experience. Her one-time fiancé ditched her at the altar after, as Raffy states, she let him see her in her wedding gown before the wedding for confirmation that she was everything he ever wanted—another superstition Raffy defies. Can Raffy succeed in this assignment? Will something develop between her and Tass? This story, though short, is a refreshing break from the romance tales of today where there is drama, drama, drama. I thoroughly enjoyed reading it. The author’s style is light and easy, just right for the book. The plot is unusual and interesting to follow. The end, though a bit of what I expected, still was a good close to this short novella. I recommend the book to everyone who wants a quick break or who enjoys a good, funny, interesting book.
