For those a little squeamish, this is a more mainstream-isk story for you to get into, although, it is still (as all others of Kitty’s that I’ve read) considered psychologically dark and doesn’t wrap up in a neat little bow even at the end. Faith Jacobson is a closed-off, small time, alone, independent, introverted twenty-two year old cat lady. Being a homebody without family or many friends, she decides to defy her norm and go to a club with some co-workers one night. She finds that she doesn’t enjoy it and leaves heading home. On her way, she accidentally sees a mob hit, pulling her life in a totally different direction, one she has no desire to go. Faith knows and Angelo knows that Angelo must kill her because he can’t leave a witness no matter how much she swears she won’t tell. But after getting a better look at her, he sees she is exactly the type of woman outwardly that his twin brother Leo likes. This gives Angelo an idea on how they all can benefit from the situation. Leo Raspallo is a forty-one year old successful doctor and businessman. His family is also the mob. Leo has spent this life trying to atone for the sins of his family and the personal sins of his heart. He is not involved personally in the “family business” but is very involved with and close to his family. He still puts family first. Leo is also a true sadist, loving to inflict pain and heavily into BDSM. During a drunken talk with his twin brother Angelo, Leo lets it slip that his true fantasy is to own a slave. Leo has to accept Angelo’s gift of Faith as his slave in order to save her life after what she has witnessed. Faith has no kinky sexual side at all and cannot stand pain. Leo cannot let her go, but is in a constant battle with himself over denying himself his one true desire. toni I love Kitty Thomas My review can be found here http://divasdiscussions.blogspot.com/2013/11/mafia-captive-by-kitty-thomas.html This is not your typical Kitty Thomas story. It is much less brutal in some sense and similar to other Kitty books in other. You still have the kidnapping and some nonconsensual sex. There isn't nearly as much sex as you would normally get in a Kitty book. You get way more character building in this story. I truly enjoyed this story. I really like Leo and most of his family. There are something's about Faith the drove me crazy. It isn't often that I take the side of the captor over the victim, but that was the case in this book. The one thing the surprised me most was that , even though there are tons of character development for the two main characters, I think I would've liked to have know more about both of their pasts a little bit more. Overall, I loved this story. It was nothing that I expected. ingen anmeldelser | tilføj en anmeldelse
Faith Jacobson was in the wrong place at the wrong time. After witnessing a mob hit, shes only moments from death when Angelo Raspallo decides to give his brother an unlikely gift. Leo has avoided involvement with the family business, but it doesnt make him a saint. Hes troubled and ashamed by his darker sexual desires, one of which is to own a slave. But when his brother throws Faith at his feet, repainting the scenario to make Leo the hero rescuing her from certain death, his moral fortitude will be tested. If Faith were kinky, it would be easy to live out his fantasy, but shes not. Not even a little bit. Even the mildest spanking sparks terror in her that Leo cant bear. The gift soon becomes a burden as he fights with himself over how to handle the addition to his home. He could release her, but his brother doesnt do loose ends. The only thing keeping her out of the bottom of the harbor is Leos mercy. Shes like a beautiful piece of art he keeps in a glass case but can never touch. Is possessing her enough?
