"Witty, and so intriguing. I started reading and didn't want to stop. Victoria Scott is a fabulous new voice in YA." --C.C. Hunter, author of the New York Times bestselling series SHADOW FALLS Dante Walker is flippin' awesome, and he knows it. His good looks, killer charm, and stellar confidence has made him one of Hell's best -- a soul collector. His job is simple, weed through humanity and label those round rears with a big red good or bad stamp. Old Saint Nick gets the good guys, and he gets the fun ones. Bag-and-tag. Sealing souls is nothing personal. Dante's an equal opportunity collector and doesn't want it any other way. But he'll have to adjust, because Boss Man has given him a new assignment: Collect Charlie Cooper's soul within 10 days. Dante doesn't know why Boss Man wants Charlie, nor does he care. This assignment means only one thing to him, and that's a permanent ticket out of Hell. But after Dante meets the quirky, Nerd Alert chick he's come to collect--he realizes this assignment will test his abilities as a collector, and uncover emotions long ago buried. The Dante Walker series is best enjoyed in order. Reading Order: Book #1 The Collector Book #2 The Liberator Book #3 The Warrior… (mere)

The Collector was a definitely a book that surprised me. I know lots of people who loved both The Collector and The Liberator and there's been tons of excitement surrounding Victoria Scott's upcoming novel, Fire and Flood, but I didn't really know how I was going to feel about the Collector when I started reading it. It actually took me a while to warm up to Dante and his personality but halfway through I was a total goner. I had a theory of what was going to happen at the end of the novel because of the title of the second book in the series, so I was glad that I guessed right. Although the bad boy and good girl relationship was a little cliche, I loved the idea of the soul seals since I have never read anything like it before. But overall I really enjoyed the Collector and will be reading the Liberator very soon! ( )

Awesome book! I kinda hated him a little in the beginning because of the way he saw Charlie and what he was trying to do to her. However, I must admit he was always funny as hell and had the best bromance ever with max! This is a book to read for fun, and so many laughs your stomach hurts and your makeups ruined from the tears. It's witty and sarcastic and there's supernatural mischief too! You can't read this and not have a good time, it's intelligent in the wit and the plot. Very worth while reading. I finished the whole series in about two days, so it's an easy read that's addictive. I'm planning to scout the rest of her books next. ( )

Skuffet! ( )

What a fun read. If it hadn't played serious I think we would have all hated Dante but the author did a good job of poking fun at his alpha male hot stuff ness.

Charlie was great and it was awesome seeing Dante realize how special she was as is without conforming to society's standards of beauty. ( )

I don't even remotely want to read the sequel. Cliche, ridiculous. I don't mind a little ha romance once in awhile, but I prefer my heroines smart and capable and my heroes at least a little like able! ( )
