This book takes a quite simple concept, the granny square, in crochet and plays with it in a variety of ways. It does take a slightly loose view of the Granny Square concept, there's a scarf using it in stripes rather than in the round but it's good food for thought and using a book of crocheted square patterns you could play with the two for a long time.

Written patterns, not charted, and UK terms.

It's not a bad book but it just didn't strike a chord with me. ( )
