This installment of the Drake Chronicles was even better than the last. I was kept enthralled throughout the whole book and SO frustrated to come to the end and have to wait for book 6! In this book we get to see how much Solange has changed and get a glimpse into why (and I don't think it's good at all!) We also get to see Nicholas and Lucy's relationship grow and get tested, (which I loved because they are my favorite couple of the series!) I'm anxious to see what's up with Solange and Constantine in the next book, January can't come quick enough! This was far more angsty and darker than the previous in this series. Nick and Lucy are my favorite couple, and Blood Moon gave us a good dose w/a Solange POV as well. Solange cheeses me to the back teeth with her changes since book one. Queen, Schmeen, she's beginning to look more like a puppet but I'll have to read the next book to confirm my suspicion. I dont want to spoiler you to death so Ill try to be vague. I can say that I love the different factions and lore of vampires and those groups that hunt them. But cant everyone just get along? Kumbaya and all that jazz. Well, no. We'd have a boring story and no infuriating cliffies. My infuriatedness (it's a word, just roll with it) simply shows the caliber of writing awesomeness. For this reader to get pulled completely into the story and provoke this kind of reaction (screams in pillow). Lets say it's been a lovely Christmas break. The kids can eat fridge door condiments for dinner, right? The ending made me feeling like everything that could go wrong did. Empire Strikes Back epic messery. And now Im having to wait (grabs another pillow...) for the next installment. Although, I admit (without Hypnos even), waiting is the best kind of aggravation. 1. Solange goes crazy. Seriously, this chick goes off the richter scale of crazy women. At this point, I think I have an idea of whats happening, but watching her unfold to an unstable vampire had its entertaining moments. 2. Lucy & Nick. I love this couple. I really do. Both of them have grown up so much over the course of the series. It’s good to see them working together and loving one another unconditionally Though their relationship goes through a few tough times, I’m glad to see them make it through. Till the end… 3. Plot. The plot is good. Though it did take me a while to step back into the story, cause in the beginning your thrown in right into the middle of chaos. After reading a few more chapters, I finally settled in for a nice read for the night. 4. Solange & Kieran. Their relationship goes BAM! Yeah, I’m a little sad of how this all went down. In the end, it did seem to redeem it self a little. I really want Ms. Harvey to fix this pronto! I’m hoping in the next book, it will all be resolved. Pretty please? 5. Helios-Ra. Yeah, I didn’t really enjoyed much of this part. It did have action, I still missed the feel of the Drake Brothers being well, brothers. There all separated Every one is fighting for their lives and their loved ones that I felt the story missed out on what captured me in the first place. The Drake Brothers. Blood Moon is an high-intensity book full of action and adventure. Blood Moon remains faithful to the characters bring out the best in them. Exciting and eventful, Blood Moon is great. The final book in the popular vampire romance/action series ties up many loose ends and brings the story arc to a close, but with enough unresolved issues and glimpses of the future for characters that readers can imagine their lives after the last word is read. The longest book in the series, it could perhaps have been split into two books; the climaxes often seem rushed, and there is so much going on in a single book that it's just one big event after another and can be a bit much. Characters in previous books were more nuanced but Harvey retreated to black-and-white portrayals of characters in the final novel; additionally, the final confrontation was unsatisfying, and there were few hints about how vampires and hunters might interact in the future-such vagueness could be a gift or a curse for the book depending on one's perspective. ingen anmeldelser | tilføj en anmeldelse

This book was so hard to read (emotionally, not actually), especially when they deprived us of Solange's interior monologue so that we'd have to be outsiders not having any idea how her transformation and seduction away from the light was happening or going. As reader, we bond with the brothers, family, Lucy, everyone on the outside not knowing what is happening, seeing it happen little by little, while still deal with the actual plot problems of the book at hand.
I want to flail my hands madly, especially because of the end, and I'm still counting down the days until I get the sixth and final book in this series and see where it all goes. (And what the author dives into next after this world.) ( )
