A little girl named Nelly is told by her mother it is time for bed, but Nelly insisted that she needed to tell the stars goodnight. Then Nelly dads say time for bed Nelly, but Nelly needs to tell her pets goodnight. Grandmother then tells Nelly time for bed, but Nelly still needs to tell her toys goodnight. Mother says no more goodnights Nelly. Nelly insisted their was just one more goodnight she had to say. So Nelly told her parents and grandmother goodnight and went to bed.

"It's Party Time! A Purim Story" is an informational book about Purim, a Jewish Holiday. To teach the reader about the holiday, the characters in the story celebrate the holiday throughout the story. To add to the information, there are two pages at the end all about Purim. This story is great for Jewish students wanting to learn about their own religion, or other religions wanting to learn about the Jewish religion.

This book is the perfect example how every child tries to do everything possible to avoid bedtime. Nelly in this case, has to tell everyone and everything goodnight.
