This English version of the Babar story has the elephant king and family seeking the "Mustache-man" who has accidentally picked up Babar's crown case, mistaking it for his own bag. The illustrations feature various scenes and sights around Paris. The ending is delightfully serendipitous. ( )

"Babar Loses his Crown" is about a family of elephants who take a trip to Paris. When they arrive, they get a taxi to take them to the hotel where Babar realizes the red suitcase that is supposed to have his crown in it now contains a flute. The family then searches all over Paris for the man that must have taken Babar's suitcase on accident, but do not find him. That night, Babar and the Queen go to the opera, but Babar is still very upset about having lost his crown. Suddenly, a man with a red suitcase bumps into Babar and it turns out to be the man who had accidentally mistaken his bag for the King's. Babar gets his crown back, and the man now has his flute. The two attend the opera and all is well. ( )

Babar's family is so good family. They were trying to find Babar's crown without complaining. The part of finding his crown is so fanny! It was surprised that flute player had had his crown.I realy enjoy this book. ( )
