Alfie was struggling to find friends and avoided to make friends with the big boys as he was afraid to talk to them. However, he realizes that the big kids are no different than him and they become good friends with Alfie. ( ) Alfie was in the smaller school and wanted to play with the bigger kids, but he was afraid. One day when Alfie was feeling sad wanting his mom, the bigger kid went to go comfort Alfie. Alfie felt comfortable and later became friends with the bigger kids. This book is great for children ages 3-5 years old. This social-moral development book follows a young boy named Alfie as he tries to find friends. At first, Alfie is intimidated by the big tough boys at the school next to his. He thought they'd never be friends but as it turns out, the big boys were just like him. Ages 3-5 Source - Pierce College Fort Steilacoom Library Alfie is in Preschool and always sees the big boys playing outside across the gate. One day Alfies mother decides to go to a plant sell. She leaves him to play in an outdoor play area with other children. While he's there a boy starts crying and adults gather around him, but no one recognizes him. Alfie recognizes the child and tells the adults who he is, then comforts him. After the childs mother comes over as well as Alfies mother, they begin to talk. Alfies mother and the boys' mother began to talk, and become good friends. The boys also become good friends.
