This book is a great fantasy book because of the comic characters Goat and Pig and the intriguing illustrations. The illustrations are so realistic, yet they include the pig doing activities such as riding a bike, riding a horse, flying a plane, and much more which adds humor and fantasy to the story. This book also includes a variety of other animals and methods of transportation which can help children become familiar with them and make connections. It is an easy book to interact with and has a great theme of friendship.

Pig has decided to go on a trip. When he discusses it with his friend Goat, however, he discovers all of the dangers that could befall him on his journey. Pig begins do doubt whether he should go on a trip at all, but Goat has an answer for that, too. The illustrations, done in soft watercolor, plainly depict the discussion between the friends and expand upon the story. Recommended for purchase. Ages 4-10. ( )
