4295 Alison's House A Play in Three Acts, by Susan Glaspell (read 4 Apr 2007) (Pulitzer Drama prize in 1931) This play won the 1931 Pulitzer prize for drama, and I read it because Glaspell was from Iowa and the play is laid in Iowa. Alison is a poet who died 18 years before the events in the play, and maybe the story was inspired by Emily Dickinson who, like Alison, seems to have been a passionate person who did not 'succumb' to her passion. Kind of a worth reading book. ( )
