An innocent and funny story of friendship and learning to have thoughtfulness for others. Reminds me of the original Winnie The Pooh by A. A. Milne. ( ) Gr 2–5—An odd-couple redux featuring introverted rock collector Badger and extroverted gourmand Skunk. Ideal for read-alouds and discussion, this title subtly covers myriad topics including homelessness, racism, prejudice, friendships, and communication. With well-developed, relatable characters and superb illustrations, this deceptively simple entry is a most welcome series opener. An illustrated children's chapter book about a Badger, who lives in his aunt's brownstone and does Important Rock Work. One day Skunk shows up saying Aunt Lula said he could stay there too. Oh no, people! And then there's chickens. It's silly and also often adorable and sweet and is about changes and how those aren't always bad and about making friends. I was just a liiiittle done with it before it was over, but I am also not the target audience. The illustrations are perfection. ingen anmeldelser | tilføj en anmeldelse
