This. Book. Is. Hilarious! I laughed out loud on the first page and it just kept getting better. These poems are irreverent, goofy, and relatable. They deal with experiences we're all intimately familiar with, from using your shoe to flush the toilet to desperately blaming everyone for why your homework is missing when it turns out you didn't have any (not that I'm intimately familiar with that one, obviously). My favorite poem is "My Twin," which breaks the rhythm and the rhyme scheme repeatedly in ways that only get funnier. I can't wait to read it to a class. Dan Santat's zany and colorful illustrations are the perfect fit for these off-the-wall poems. I will be buying this for my library as soon as I get the green light.

This book is geared towards 2nd to 4th grade students.

This book is broken up, each page is a new poem that is humorous and playful. The book talks about silly things and makes reading poetry fun for students but also talks about some serious things like young people loosing the world due to technology. ( )

This is a humorous book of poetry. They are simple, stand alone poems. Some are silly and some are a little more serious. My favorite is probably the one about our smartphones. I think it would be a fun read for younger students, and they would enjoy the rhyming poems. Dan Santat provides colorful and expressive pictures to accompany each of the poems. I think this is a good introductory book of poems for young students. ( )

A collection of humorous poetry that observes and celebrates the everyday, such as sibling tensions, homework, cell phones, and bedtime. While humor and rhymes are standard, nothing especially clever or unique, the collection as a whole is accessible to kids who may not be into poetry. ( )
