I really enjoyed this. It was technically sci fi romance but it was a planet based story and the planet that if was based on used limited technology. The heroine was incredibly naive which worked well and made sense considering she was "born" or created to be a courtesan and had not really lived as long as her physical appearance suggested and she was only taught what she needed to know to do her "job".

She doesn't like her job though and runs away and thus ends up married to the hero who has no idea really of her background. Her lack of real knowledge leads to the major conflict between them. I liked watching her learn and try to find her feet in her new world.

The only problem that the book really had was the ending. Like most of this author's books, it ended abruptly. They basically turned to each other, confessed their love and the end. I, like most people, like to read a longer resolution to a story than that. I want them to talk over their issues and tell each other what they love about each other and when they fell in love and stuff like that. This is usually shorted some in KO'Cs books but here it was sort of extreme. Still I enjoyed the book and knew going in that the ending probably wouldn't totally satisfy me so it still gets 5 stars.

This book is not a multiple partner book and there is very little sex in this one. ( )
