IntroductionPeople marvel at how organized our home is. They even peek into our cupboards just hoping a mess is inside. They're usually disappointed. I believe that there is always room for improvement when it comes to being organized. I have not arrived by any stretch of the imagination, but I'm well on my way. When we decided to bring our children home to school, I was suddenly faced with more organizational challenges than ever before. At first I tried to order things they way I did when I had my own classroom as a public school teacher. The more I tried to make our homeschool look and feel like a classroom, the more frustrated and disappointed I became. There was a definite flaw in my system. My goal was to have what we needed when we needed it and to have my children just as able to maintain that order as I. After my trial and error we've arrived at what works for us. This book doesn't outline for you our system. It presents a way of thinking that will encourage you to seek out what will work for your family and will give you the courage to do it.When homeschool friends would see our system, they would quickly ask what I did to keep things so orderly. I found myself training people every time they came to visit. But there were a few women who, even though they seemed desperate to be organized, failed at every attempt. What I discovered was that their desire for organization was not deep-rooted. It was a shallow attempt at fitting into an orderly world. The bottom line? They didn't really feel the need to be organized. They just didn't want to look disorganized to outsiders. That was when I realized that organization is a matter of the heart.Whenever I amfaced with a challenge, I run to the Word of God to seek guidance. What, if anything, did God have to say about being organized? Seek and ye shall find. God is far from silent on living an orderly life with purpose and deliberateness. He waits to bless you Find out what God is like, and you'll discover what He wants for you.Our God is a God of order and purpose. He does nothing without purpose… (mere)
