Genre: Informational Book
Media: Mixed(because it is a gathering of different kinds of art)
Summary: It is a special informational book. Bob Raczka pairs thought-provoking quotes by famous painters with colorful examples of their best work. This book turns out to be a album of art.
Use: I believe it is a good book for students to read. This book can be used at art class as a warm-up. By reading this book, students' artistic culture can be nurtured. What's more, it would not be easy to understand some art without and explanation. So students are able to have a deeper understanding of some art after reading it. ( )

Summary: This is a informational book about some famous and classic paintings and artists. The author puts interesting quotes by famous painters with colorful examples of their best work. For example, in the page of Frida Kahlo's self-portrait, her quote explained: "I paint self-portraits because I am so often alone, because I am the person I know the best."

Genre: informational book. Many famous artists' works are quoted with their own explanations, including the name of the works and where these works are displaying.

Use: 1. The artists included in this book loved painting, so their quotes showed their love of painting. After reading this book, students can have a group discussion, and share their favorite quotes with each other. For instance, I love Vincent Van Gogh's quote and works mostly. He said: "The only time I feel alive is when I'm painting." He showed me the power of art which became a source of one's live!
2. Write down one or two sentence about how do students feel about painting or art. Why they love art or why not? Put their words on a poster and share their idea in the whole class.
