Papa reminds chicken not to interrupt him while reading the bedtime story, but chicken can't stop. By reading it in different voices, you can model to children how annoyed Papa was when chicken annoyingly interrupts him. This gives a great lesson of being respectful and helps remind children to make sure not to talk while other's are talking. The book is cute and humourous and meaningful at the same time. This book was just okay for us. My nieces, 5 & 9, said they found Chicken's interrupting kind of annoying. (Even though they do it themselves!!!) I love this book by David Ezra Stein! The little red chicken has a problem when it comes to interrupting and she can't seem to control herself! She wants to save the characters from doing something silly so she interrupts every chance she gets. Dad has had enough and suggests she make up a story of her own to tell him. What a good way for the little red chicken to use her voice and say what she feels? She has alot to say! I loved this children's book and think many children and parents can relate! It is about a chicken dad who is trying to tell his chicken son a bedtime story, except the chicken son keeps interrupting the story to tell the dad what happens as he tries to read it. I️ found myself hysterical while reading the book, and kept a smile on the girls' faces as well. ingen anmeldelser | tilføj en anmeldelse
