As always I loved the characters, but the solution to this one seemed to be a bit out of left field. ( )

Mary Pisano plans to make her grandfather's house a bed-and-breakfast, but when her cousin Pamela's corpse turns up dead on the property, the knitters find themselves investigating another murder. Light on mystery but full of small-town charm, this mystery works best for fans of the series who already know the characters. While this installment bore the "next in series" notation for me, I read the previous ones so long ago I had forgotten most characters. I suspect it marred my enjoyment. ( )

A Holiday Yarn
This seaside harbor book again follows th knitters that meet once a week. It is the fall and the summer visitors have left the area
and snow is in the air. An old man has passed away, he run the magazine and his whole family is into the publishing field, millionaires. Pam is one that should be in charge but not on the same level as others.
She wants to run a B&B with the old house. Love talk of the charity work the knitters do for local places. The knitters find something amiss at the old house and find hand written letters in the snow. They also have seen lights and shadows in the guest house next door.
The find the body that is still holding a gun. They work together to find out clues that will lead them to the killer. They find so much more.
The local need this year was to the historic building. More mysteries come to light before they can solve the murder mystery. Excerpt from the next book is included.

The Christmas season has unraveled in Sea Harbor and then a murder casts a damper on the town’s yuletide festivities. The editor for a fashion magazine is found murdered in the snow at a bread and breakfast inn belonging to her grandfather. Pamela Pisano is beautiful and talented, but a lousy person. Still, Pamela does not deserve her violent death. The Seaside Knitters must act fast to solve the murder and to salvage the town's holiday cheer. Goldenbaum delights in showing the different ages of love and dispelling the notion that love is just for the young. Again, Goldenbaum does not write a graphic murder or explicit sex novel. She rests on that gentle yarn in which friendship and love triumph. I would love to see a map of the Sea Harbor community. ( )
