Here we have Itchy, who tries to starve Tracy in revenge, only to meet the same end most of Tracy's foes eventually receive. This volume introduces the two-way wrist radio, 50 years before cell phones became common. B.O. Plenty and Gravel Gertie are united, and after a turbulent courtship are married. Other characters include Breathless Mahoney, Themesong, Shoulders, Gargles and Influence. I still think Dick Tracy is an overrated strip, but there's no denying its popularity and influence, and it does make for a fine guilty pleasure of a read.
