This book is about the animals in the ocean and how they live. First, it shows all of the seas and where they are located. Next is about whales, different kind and what parts they live in. Next chapter, is all about jellyfish. The book gives a bunch of fun facts about jellyfish and how they live. Sea otters is next, it gives exclusive detail about the sea otter. Rays, sea horses, penguin, octopus, coral, sea turtles, dolphins, crustaceans, manatees, marine iguanas, and walruses are some examples of animals they talk about.
This book was interesting. It helped me through my research project. It taught me a lot of new things. I never knew all the elaborate details of these sea creatures. This book shows good photos that deal with the main idea of the paragraphs. Overall, this book made me keep reading and taught me a lot. I would recommend this book to people who are interested in marine life. ( )

Oceans, by Johnna Rizzo, is a nonfiction book about the creatures in the oceans around the world. Some facts the author specifies about the animals are their habitat, diet, and their mating calls. One amazing creature are the stingrays. These animals have amazing bodies to survive: they excel at camouflage and are equipped for hunting and protection with a barbed spine on its' tail. The author also includes a section called, Ocean Extremes, in which the author includes facts about extreme habitats that marine life still thrives. Another fascinating place in the ocean are the coral reefs. This book informs the reader about the sea life you can find there, as well as including the largest reef in the world: The Great Barrier Reef. Near the end of the book, the author includes a section devoted to persuading the reader to save the worlds oceans. You can protect the ocean by recycling and picking up trash.

I enjoyed this book because is was very interesting and was packed with lots of facts. I would recommend this book to readers of all ages. ( )

An incredible visual and informative feast for the eyes. This book examines the various oceans of the earth and the fish and sealife that inhabit them. Each page features color photographs and fact boxes about each ocean animal. In addition the book also contains a section that outlines 20 ways we can protect the ocean, layers of life that examine the three zones of underwater life, a glossary and an index. Grades 3-8.

This book was about how big and deep the oceans are and what animals can be found in them. This book describes measurements using kilograms, meters, and feet. The pictures of the animals are lifelike and intriguing. This would be a great book for students just to look at because the pictures are so descriptive and real. This book talks about divers that travel down into the ovean in ROV's (Remotely Operated Vehicles) that can journey into the ocean. This book relates to science because it talks about animals in the ocean and how their habitats look like. ( )

If ocean life and animals is your thing, Oceans, by Johnna Rizzo, is a great National Geographic Kids book for you. This book has amazing photography and even better information about dolphins and whales to coral reefs and penguins. Observing oceanic life is simple with Rizzo's easy to read summaries and wildly real photographs. A table of contents page as well as a glossary and an index allow you to browse through this book with ease. Oceans would be great to use for school papers, class discussions, or leisurely reading.
