This book was a bit different, this book did not have any words in the book. So the storytelling of the book was based on the illustrations. It was about some children who found some chalk on a playground and when they drew with that chalk the picture they drew came to life. ( )

This is a wordless picture book about 3 kids whose chalk drawing comes to life. A boy decides to draw a dinosaur, which attacks them. He solves the problem by drawing rain to wash the chalk away. This book is meant for kindergarteners and would be great to spark creativity. I would show them this book before an art lesson.

This book is geared towards younger elementary students.

This book shares the story of three kids who found a bag full of chalk on a rainy day. Each time they drew something with the chalk, it came to life. They drew the sun, and the sun came out. The drew a T-Rex and the it began chasing them until they drew a rain could and the rain came back to wash away their chalk.

This is a fun book to use to spark imagination and use of fun toys outside. ( )

This book is great for primary and intermediate students.

This book is about a statue T-rex that holds a bag of chalk for kids at the playground can draw and get creative. As the children draw, their drawings come to life. Such as butterflies. They then draw a T-rex and it grows big and tall. The children seem to be afraid. The clouds fill the sky and it begins to rain, the T-rex slowly starts to melt (as chalk does when it gets wet). The T-rex melts into watery chalk on the ground.

I would use this book in an art class, to explain to my students that art tells stories and you can use your imagination and creativity in art and in play. ( )
