Will Arthur and Francine find their way out of the library after closing time?
  BLTSbraille | Oct 14, 2021 |
I enjoyed reading Locked in the Library because I used to watch the TV show when I was younger and it reminded me of how much I loved the characters. As I was reading the book, it triggered in my head that I had seen this story in one of the episodes, which kept me engaged. I also enjoyed it because even though the characters are not exactly human, they present a situation that is relatable and very realistic. For example, two students (Arthur and Francine) are assigned a project together, but during a time when they are not getting along. When partners were assigned, “Arthur glanced at Francine. She looked like she was going to die. He signed. It was going to be a very long weekend.” Anyone can relate to this because everyone at some point in their life has had to work with someone they didn’t like. This relates to the big idea of the story that even though you may not want to work with someone there could be something good that becomes of it in the end. ( )

Arthur calls Francine a marshmello and she gets mad and will not speak to him. Their teachers assigns them to be partners for a project. They have to go to the library together to work on it. The libray closes and they are locked in. They have to work together to find a way out. ( )

I liked the book a little bit. It was weird, because it wasn't that entertaining. They ate pizza in the library and they had as many pieces as they wanted, and they got to watch TV. ( )
