It's not a new or inspired plot, but the writing is pretty good. I especially like that a lot of the usual players are in the issues, like Two-Face, Scarecrow, Alfred. Unfortunately, Damian, Bruce Wayne's biological son is also in it as Robin, and in this TPB I really, really don't like his character. The art is mostly okay. Sometimes I feel like when pencillers and inkers are working on a Batman title they go a little crazy on the shadows and these issues are definitely dark in many places. Still, overall it was a pleasing read. An excellent take on a difficult story arc for The Batman. With Bruce Wayne gone, Dick Grayson takes up the cowl, giving a different take to the Batman character and his relationships. His development with Alfred is excellent. The art is of a very high quality and I finished this thinking "OH NO! You can't leave it there!" Surely a marker of a great book & great story. Highly recommended. ingen anmeldelser | tilføj en anmeldelse
As Dick Grayson takes on the persona of Batman after the disappearance of Bruce Wayne, some believe that Batman is unchanged, while others, like the villain Two-Face, knows he is an impostor. No library descriptions found. |
