Spinoza occupe une place á part dans l'historie de la pensèe. Peu d'oeuvres auront ètè aussi aimées et haies que la sienne :elle n'a cessé d'etre admirée et vilipendée, scrutée et ignorée en meme temps. Lui même fut véneré commo un sage -modêle d'humanité, de douceur, de réflexión, d'humilité - et pourchassé comme un diable menacant l'ordre établi.
