This book tells about several different ways to mind your manners in school. Instead of just listing rules, it tells ways that the characters applied the list of manners while they were at school.

I like this book, because it will help kids know some basic manners at school. However, the material is not presented to them in a way that will bore them. The material is given in an interesting and fun way.

As an extension, you could have students give ideas of other manners that could be used in school. After, you could have each student write the list of their class manners on a poster board and decorate it to hang in the classroom.

"Mind Your Manners In School" is a great book to read to kindergarten, first, second, and even third grade students. This would be a good book to read during the first week of school and when you are going over the class rules. The book is about manners that a student should perform while at school. The manners that the book goes over are: being early to school, learn to be patient, washing your hands, learning to share and play, learning to be ready to learn and to be quiet, learning not to laugh or make fun of classmates, learning to clean up, helping each other, and learning to have fun and that everyone is different. In the back of the book there are different activities that you can do with your students. This is a great book, teaching students to have manners and it shows different ways a teacher can engage these manners. I loved this book and would recommend it to any teacher!!!!!
