In "Time To Say Please", Mo Willems uses humans and mice to present the lesson of using the word "please". His style is very unique because each page contains it's own bundle of color and detail explaining situations where it is appropriate to use "please". Speech bubbles seem to be Willem's trademark to his stories, making it clear when the characters are speaking and what they are saying. ( )

Unlike Steve Antony's Please, Mr. Panda, the lesson here is explicit, and the story is less fun. ( )

A primer on the importance of when, how, and why to say please.

This is a great book to talk about manners. The illustrations make it fun and the large text with the illustrations grab the attention of the reader and makes it easy for younger ones to read. Could be used in a classroom setting to start discussions about different scenarios of when to use the words like "please", "thank you", and "sorry".
