Laurel McBane has always been in love with Del Brown, an inconvenient truth as he's the older brother of one of her best friends and business partners. While she sees him constantly as he does the legal advising for the wedding planning business, a friendly spat turns into something far more intense when she impulsively kisses him. Now Laurel and Del must figure out if their romance is a brief fling or something more.

Third in the series, Laurel's romance with Del is sweet with pretty low stakes conflict. As Laurel is a wedding cake baker, there's plenty of descriptions of cakes and several other desserts so if you're suggestible and have a sweet tooth, make sure you have some treats on hand. The writing in this one was a bit rockier than what I'm used to in a Nora Roberts novel - mostly just dialogue with unclear speakers and transitions in perspective not being marked clearly. Also naming one character Mac and another Mal is just mean. That said the final chapters involve a trip to a beach house that are written super well and dang do I want to go on vacation now. ( )

I like this series more for the long term friendship among the women than the romances, although they aren't bad either. This one involves Laurel, who has always had a thing for her friend Parker's brother, Del. Of course, they start a romance, have problems, make up and get engaged by the end of the book. No suprises, but then you don't really read these to be suprised, do you? ( )

Third in the Bridal Quartet series, Savor the Moment by Nora Roberts is Laurel McBane and Delaney Brown's story.

Laurel runs the baking side of Vows and is a brilliantly creative and beautiful woman who has accomplished much throughout her life and keeps her feet firmly planted on the ground. She came from a tough family background, but fought hard for what she wanted and didn't back down. Del is a smart, good-looking lawyer who treats everyone with respect, and definitely takes care of "his girls." But when he stops looking at Laurel like a sister, things really heat up and get interesting. They end up agreeing to date for 30 days, with no sex, a sure fire disaster.

Overall, this book was good but it’s not my favorite of the bunch. The best part of this book was getting to know Laurel while she was at work. I loved reading about all the beautifully decorated cakes. I felt like the obstacles Nora put in their way were so easily overcome, making the narrative too comfortable and fairly bland.

It was good to see the girls and their guys all together again. I can’t wait for Parker and Mal’s story in the final book of the quartet, [b:Happy Ever After|7074000|Happy Ever After (Bride Quartet, #4)|Nora Roberts|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1348953880l/7074000._SX50_.jpg|7327847]A

This ended up being my highest rated book out of the Bride Quartet series. Probably cause of the mess that Emma and the crew did in book #2 ended up annoying the crap out of me. This one was a really great slow burning romance that thank God had none of the drama of the second book.

Book #3 is about Laurel. Laurel is the baker for the wedding planning business. She ends up getting involved with Del (Parker's brother) and feels out of sorts about how their "relationship" came about and what it even means. Laurel is stubborn about things, but I liked her a lot. She was snarly and combative with her love interest, but it was a nice change of pace.

Del has been a long time fan of all of the "girls". Del at times you got to see was overly protective of all of the women in the series, and though it was a little much at times, it wasn't offputting. He honestly reminded me of Josh Templeton from the "Daring to Dream" series. I liked that he didn't let Laurel push him away and listened to her and made sure she listened to him.

Reading about people working out is boring. Seriously. I could not believe that Roberts included scenes of that. I didn't care about Mac working out to look nice in her wedding dress. I just rolled my eyes. The wedding scenes at this point are here to stay along with the acronyms galore. I honestly just rolled my eyes at how all of the heroes in this series who have full time jobs by the way, happen to always be around to help out the women. It's like how Roarke is always running after Eve like he doesn't have a full time job dealing with a million things. ( )

Laurel's tart fairy tale romance offers few surprises, but it's impossible to deny Roberts's flair for sketching likable couples.
