Following the period 221 BC until 1911 AD, this volume portrays a colorful history of China from tales translated from original Chinese text. This is part of a two-volume series of true stories from China's history and has the look and feel of a storybook, with illustrations on each page done by various artists. Both books start off with a brief introduction and timeline of Chinese History. Each story is followed by a section titled "Learn More" with a few paragraphs of additional information. This would be a great supplement to a study of Chinese history, although there is enough context given that each story can be enjoyed on its own. The reading age was listed as 10-13 on Amazon, although some of the stories in this volume, such as "The Four Puzzles" and "Fooling Fox Dong" would also appeal to a younger audience because of their folk-tale-like quality. Overall, a beautifully done series! ingen anmeldelser | tilføj en anmeldelse
