Gaban, first published in 1931, five years before Premchand's death, gives us a fascinating glimpse of north Indian society, and especially of the author's own Kayasth community. My first novel of Munshi Premchand though i read some of his stories in my school.
The main point of his Novels/Stories is Simplicity.
The major theme of all novels is Rural India and the best part of it,Characters are not artificial. His work represents the real India with real characters.
This novel is full of Suspense,Drama,Social issues and the Flavor of India . ( )
